The NFL draft will remain in Las Vegas.
Prior to the Raiders 19th overall pick, commissioner Roger Goodell announced that the NFL Draft will be held in Vegas for 2022.
He said, “I’m pleased to announce that Las Vegas will host the 2022 NFL Draft, where we look forward to holding an even bigger and better event than we could have ever imagined this year. Congratulations to Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, the Raider’s organization and Raider Nation.”
The NFL was planning to have the draft in Vegas for 2020, until it got cancelled due to COVID-19 complications.
The Raiders organization is ecstatic for this opportunity, and the city of Las Vegas is planning to make this a draft to remember.
Players were to be transported to the stage by a boat, over the water of Las Vegas Hotel Bellagio. The 2021 NFL draft will be held in Cleveland. Even though it wasn’t able to happen this year, the draft will be great in 2022, and big things should happen in the NFL surrounding Las Vegas.
