After multiple photos of the Atlanta Falcons were released on Tuesday night, the Falcons officially released the video of their uniforms on Wednesday morning. The new uniforms were meant to be released on April 14th, but they released them on April 8th due to leaked pictures.
The Falcons were the 2nd team this week to release new jerseys, with the Falcons NFC South rival, the Buccaneers, revealing their jerseys earlier this week.
The Falcons logo remained the same. There is 8 combinations of jerseys and pants. The jerseys include a black, white, gradient, and a 1966 throwback. The four pants include black, white, red, and a 1966 throwback.
Falcons owner, Arthur Blank, was disappointing with the team’s attendance this past season. It was mainly due to the poor play by the Falcons. However, he stated that the new jerseys were for the fans and the city, and that the Atlanta Falcons would come back stronger than ever.
A couple hours after the release of the Falcons jersey, the Panthers created a funny video that created an epic Twitter battle between the 2 teams.
The Panthers posted a video, where the Panthers were watching the Falcons video for their new uniforms. Their was laughing noise in the background, and the Panthers compared the Falcons new uniforms with the jersey from the movie ‘The Longest Yard’, which featured Adam Sandler.
The Falcons responded to the video by using Cam Newton’s font, and saying ‘shinethrutheshade’, after Cam Newton was released.
The Falcons uniform provide a very modern look that pairs with their very modern stadium and city. The epic twitter battle was just a joke for laughs, as the Panthers stated, between 2 NFC South rivals. The uniforms are a major upgrade for the Falcons, and could allow for the Falcons to have higher jersey sales, and possibly ticket sales.
