Weeks after the Texans made a shocking move by trading DeAndre Hopkins, the Texans have traded for Brandin Cooks.
The Rams will receive a second round-pick, and Houston will acquire a future 4th round-pick along with Cooks.
The former Ram had a disappointing season last year, with only 583 yards, and 2 touchdowns. In 2018, he had 1,204 yards and 5 touchdowns. Even though he had a decline last season, he is still one of the speediest WRs, that can be a threat at all times of the game.
The Texans will be Cook’s 4th team in his short 6 year career. Along with receiving, Cooks has shown to be a dangerous returner. He is a very valuable player that can be used in multiple positions.
The Texans wide receiving core surely won’t be the same without Hopkins, but can still play at a high level with Will Fuller, Brandin Cooks, TE Darren Fells, and rising star Deshaun Watson.
Cooks has proved that he can be one of the fastest players in the league, and will bring a whole new level of explosiveness and speed to this Texans offense.
