The NFL 100 list is voted by the players, and most people assume that would make it as accurate as possible. However, even fans know that this list is far from accurate, and could be adjusted plenty.
The most controversial ranking from the 2020 Top 100 list is ranking Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes as the #4 player. There are also lots of complaints, such as Keenan Allen at #77, Devante Adams at #57, Devante Parker not even being on the list, and much more.

That list could really use some improving! Here we go; I now present to you the correct list:
10. Stephon Gilmore
Gilmore has classified himself in his own tier of CBs. The 2019 Defensive Player of the Year is a nightmare for opposing receivers and offensive coordinators. Gilmore was on a defense that was the Number 1 in the league in almost every category, and managed to be the star of the defense.
Stephon Gilmore had 6 INTs last year, and recorded 53 tackles. The All-Pro CB is not slowing down anytime soon, and is most definitely a top 10 player in the league.
9. Derrick Henry
Tennessee’s monster at RB, Derrick Henry, is #9 on my list compared to #10 on the player’s list. Henry was able to bully opposing defenses in 2019, recording 1,540 yards and 16 rushing TDs. He single-handedly carried the Titans through the postseason, carrying them all the way to the AFC Championship.
King Henry is a bruiser that is a tough man to bring down. Henry has established himself as a top tier RB in just 2 seasons. He is already a top 10 player, and has plenty more great things to come.
8. George Kittle
George Kittle is a talent that you don’t see too often. His ability to block elite edge rushers, catch balls like DeAndre Hopkins, and break tackles like Derrick Henry is remarkable. He is literally everything you can want from a player.
Pro Football Focus graded Kittle as the #1 overall player in 2019. Kittle is only getting started, and will be the top Tight End in football for years to come.
7. DeAndre Hopkins
Hopkins has hands made out of glue. The newly added Cardinal will catch almost any ball thrown to him, no matter how many defenders he is being covered by.
Hopkins had 1,165 yards and 7 TDs in 2019, which happens to be very impressive considering that this was a “poor season” in his standards. Hopkins did get traded from a top 5 QB in Deshaun Watson, but he didn’t downgrade much considering he has Kyler Murray. Look out for Hopkins to break out in 2020.
6. Michael Thomas
Michael Thomas does get a lot of hate for various reasons, but his talent is undeniable. The 2019 Offensive Player of the Year had the most receptions (149) and receiving yards (1725) in the league. He had 33 more receptions than the player 2nd in receptions and 331 more yards than the player 2nd in receiving yards.
Thomas should be exciting to watch in 2020. With Emmanuel Sanders, Jared Cook, Alvin Kamara, and of course, Michael Thomas, opposing secondaries will struggle to cover all the Saints threats.
5. Christian McCaffrey

McCaffrey is widely considered the top RB in the NFL, and he very well deserves the title. CMC became just the 3rd RB of all time to have 1,000 rushing yards and 1,000 receiving yards.
McCaffrey was able to run in between the tackles, outside the tackles, and catch the ball. In fact, he had 116 receptions, the second most in the entire league (only behind Michael Thomas), while recording 1387 rushing yards and 19 total TDs. Christian McCaffrey is already the best RB in the league, and has the potential to go down as one of the greatest RBs of all time!
4. Russell Wilson
Russell Wilson is one of the decades most accomplished QBs. He is also one of the most efficient throwers in the league, throwing 31 TDs and a mere 5 INTs last season.
Wilson is one of the most reliable QBs, never missing a start in each of his first 8 seasons. He will have a monster year next season with Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf alongside him. You can count on him to play like a top 3 QB, and to make a push in the postseason.
3. Lamar Jackson
The 2019 unanimous MVP had a historical season in 2019. Lamar led the league in passing TDs, with 36 of them. He also led all QBs in rushing yards. In fact, he had more rushing yards than RBs like Saquon Barkley, Dalvin Cook, and many more.
I don’t have Lamar as the #1 player like the player’s choice, but he still lands in my top 3. Lamar is the future of the NFL. He is gaining more football IQ, strength, speed, and many more aspects to improve his game. Once he fully masters his accuracy, Lamar will be unstoppable.
2. Aaron Donald
Aaron Donald is the best non-QB in football. It is an undisputed fact. Donald has recorded 8+ sacks in each of his seasons in the NFL. In 2019, he had 12.5 sacks, the second highest total of his career.
Donald has an impressive resume, with first team All-Pro honors 5/6 times in his career, and Pro Bowl Honors in each of his seasons with the Rams. Donald is strong, intelligent, and unstoppable. His ability to be one of the best players each year is consistency that is simply unmatched in the National Football League.
1. Patrick Mahomes
How could you not expect Mahomes here? He’s the star of the NFL. He is the highest paid player in sports history. He’s the face of American sports.
Mahomes first year: 50 passing TDs, 5000 passing yards, and an MVP. Mahomes second year: a Super Bowl title that the Chiefs were not able to obtain for over 50 years. It is wild to think that Mahomes isn’t the #1 player on any football list. The players putting him at Number 4 has to be the biggest joke the NFL has seen.
