Week 3 Game Predictions

Somehow, we are already 3 weeks into the NFL season. We have had plenty of action packed games, but unfortunately accompanied with many injuries.

Regardless, we approach another Sunday of amazing football, and I will be sharing my predictions for each game! If you have any questions or would like to share your opinion, please leave a comment down below!

ICYMI: Dolphins beat the Jaguars 31-13 on Thursday Night Football.

Without further ado, let’s get into it:

Sunday, September 27th

San Francisco 49ers 20, New York Giants 13

1 p.m. ET (FOX), MetLife Stadium

If someone told me before the season that the line for this game was 49ers -3.5, I would be shocked. The 49ers are a MUCH better team than the Giants, but have been overcome by injuries as many know. Without their starting QB, RB, WR, CB, DE, and many more, I still believe the 49ers have what it takes to beat these Giants. Daniel Jones and co. are not off to the start they wanted, as they are 0-2 with losses to the Steelers and Bears. The 49ers prevail in what should be a mildly interesting game.

Washington Football Team 16, Cleveland Browns 24

1 p.m. ET (FOX), FirstEnergy Stadium

The Browns are coming off of what was their best game of the season, while the Washington Football Team had a terrible game against Kyler Murray and his squad. After seeing Baker Mayfield, Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt, and OBJ tear it up on Thursday Night Football last week, it’s hard to pick against them. The Browns have had over a week of rest/practice, and get the home field advantage. Give me the Browns in a relatively low scoring game against Washington’s dominant defense.

Cincinnati Bengals 24, Philadelphia Eagles 30

1 p.m. ET (CBS), Lincoln Financial Stadium

Carson Wentz was given much too hype for how he has been playing as of recently. In two very winnable games against Washington and the LA Rams, Wentz was not able to lead his team to victory. On the other hand, Joe Burrow threw 61 balls last week, most of which were accurate, but the Bengals WRs were struggling. I give this game, which is likely to be a shoot out, to the Eagles. Until the Bengals figure out their defensive issues, they will continue losing for weeks to come. Carson Wentz will have a bounce back game while Miles Sanders will run all over that defense. Eagles advance to 1-2.

Las Vegas Raiders 27, New England Patriots 28

1 p.m. ET (CBS), Gillette Stadium

NewtonWakandaGetty e076391c dd8d 4678 8a61 141eb4d8466e - Week 3 Game Predictions

This game has potential to be the game of the week. The Raiders are coming off two strong NFC South wins against the Saints and Panthers. The Patriots on the other hand, are coming off a solid game against the Seahawks despite the loss. Cam Newton and Julian Edelman showed how strong of a connection they owned last week. This connection + Cam Newton’s rushing ability along with the Patriots elite defense will be too much for the Raiders to handle. Give me the Patriots in what is likely the best 1:00 game of the week.

Chicago Bears 23, Atlanta Falcons 27

1 p.m. ET (FOX), Mercedes-Benz Stadium

A 2-0 Mitch Trubisky against an 0-2 Matt Ryan. Never would I imagine saying that. The Bears are off to a splendid start, while the Falcons have had their fair share of tough matchups and choking. The Falcons should be 1-1 as of now, but their special teams was unaware that you could dive on the ball before it crossed 10 yards. One major takeaway from Atlanta’s game last week is that Calvin Ridley and Matt Ryan are one of the league’s best duo. Add that with Julio Jones, even though he struggled last week, and not even the Bears can stop it. The Falcons offense is too explosive, and Chicago will need an extraordinary game from their offense and defense if they want a chance to win.

Los Angeles Rams 31, Buffalo Bills 24

1 p.m. ET (FOX), Bills Stadium

While I am very well on the Josh Allen hype train, I don’t think he can continue this week. Josh Allen had some great stats on paper, but people who watched his game know he overthrew some very easy passes, and even threw bad throws that his WRs ended up catching. The Rams on the other hand have been shocking. After defeating the Cowboys and Eagles, they stand at 2-0 and raise eyes toward playoff contention. Josh Allen and co. stand no chance against Aaron Donald and that scary defense. Josh Allen will have his first down to earth game of the season, as the Rams advance to 3-0.

Houston Texans 19, Pittsburgh Steelers 26

1:00 p.m. EST (CBS), Heinz Field

The schedule makers were not too generous to the Texans. After opening the season against the Ravens and Chiefs, the Texans will have to travel north to face the monster defense of the Steelers. The Steelers defense accompanied with Big Ben, James Connor, and Juju is not a team anyone wants to play. Deshaun Watson still has so magic, but not having Deandre Hopkins is hurting him. TJ Watt and JJ Watt will be a fun matchup to watch, but that’s about as good as it gets for Houston. The Steelers should have no trouble winning this home matchup and advancing to 3-0.

Tennessee Titans 17, Minnesota Vikings 14

1:00 p.m. EST (CBS), US Bank Stadium

Minnesota might just be the most shocking team of the season. After having a strong 10-6 campaign run in 2019, the Vikings sit at 0-2 with losses to the Packers and Colts. The loss of Stefon Diggs is really impacting the Vikings. On the other side of the field is the Titans, who sit at 2-0 with wins against the Broncos and Jaguars. Derrick Henry should have a field day against the Vikings. The Vikings defense has struggled very bad this year, and I don’t see much reason for that to change. Titans advance to 3-0 and atop the AFC South,

Carolina Panthers 18, Los Angeles Chargers 24

4:05 p.m. EST (CBS), Sofi Stadium

https%3A%2F%2Fcatcrave.com%2Fwp content%2Fuploads%2Fgetty images%2F2017%2F07%2F1273740352 - Week 3 Game Predictions

Christian McCaffrey, Tyrod Taylor, Melvin Ingram, Kawann Short, Dennis Daley, and the list goes on. These are just some of the players that are either out or doubtful for this game. Justin Herbert showed real promise last week against the Chiefs, throwing 311 yards and having 2 total TDs. On the other hand, the Panthers defense is nowhere to be found. In their first 2 games, they have allowed 65 combined points. Yikes. With no true red zone threats for the Panthers as CMC is out, I don’t see much going for them. Justin Herbert finds his first career win this week against the Panthers.

New York Jets 10, Indianapolis Colts 34

4:05 p.m. EST (CBS), Lucas Oil Stadium

This game has to be my lock of the week. Until Adam Gase is out of New York, the Jets aren’t going anywhere. The Jets front office have not treated Sam Darnold well. He continues to play behind a bad coach and no real threats on offense. Darnold has true talent, but the Jets are wasting it. The Colts on the other hand are an undefined team so far. After losing to the Jaguars, who many thought would be the league’s worst team, they went on to destroy the Vikings 28-11. The loss of Parris Campbell is a pretty severe loss, but shouldn’t be too impactful against the Jets. This will be a one-sided game and the Colts will find there way above .500.

Dallas Cowboys 20, Seattle Seahawks 31

4:25 p.m. EST (FOX), Centurylink Field

dak prescott russell wilson - Week 3 Game Predictions

Yes, the Cowboys were fun to watch last week. But that was the Falcons. There next opponent, the Seahawks, are no joke. After Russell Wilson, who currently looks like the league’s MVP, threw 5 TDs against the Patriots elite defense, Cowboys fans have all the reason to be scared for this week. Dallas did record 40 points last week, but now face a much better defense. Jamal Adams has caught hate for lacking in coverage last week, and is ready to demolish the team he wanted to sign with this off season. Mad Jamal Adams + Bobby Wagner. Good luck Cowboys, but I got the Seahawks advancing to 3-0 in America’s Game of the Week!

Detroit Lions 14, Arizona Cardinals 28

4:25 p.m. EST (FOX), State Farm Stadium

The Cardinals look unstoppable. Kyler Murray and Deandre Hopkins are emerging as the league’s top duo, and the Lions are in no place to stop it. Kenny Golladay could come back this week, but he will be on a snap count if he does. You can’t expect a team with TJ Hockenson as the leading receiver for the Lions last week to beat the Cardinals. There’s no need for too much explaining here. Kyler Murray and co. remain undefeated,

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31, Denver Broncos 14

4:25 p.m. EST (FOX), Miles High Stadium

The Broncos are really going to miss Drew Lock this week. Tampa Bay is not a team that you want to play with your backup QB. Tampa started off really dominant last week against the Panthers, but almost blew a 21-0 lead before getting back in control. Assuming Tom Brady has his chemistry in check this week with Chris Godwin and Mike Evans, the Buccaneers should have an easy time beating Jeff Driskel.

Green Bay Packers 33, New Orleans Saints 28

8:20 p.m. EST (NBC), Mercedes Benz Superdome

Brees Rodgers - Week 3 Game Predictions

Green Bay is off to an astronomical start. Their offense has put over 40 points in each of their 2 games, as the Packers total 85 points this season. You read that right. The Saints on the other hand are coming off a 10 point Monday night loss to the Raiders. The Packers offense is simply too much for the Saints to handle, even without Davante Adams. The Saints will be dearly missing Michael Thomas this week, as the Packers go en route to another win and 30+ point performance.

Monday, Sept. 28th

Kansas City Chiefs 27, Baltimore Ravens 34

8:15 p.m. EST (ESPN), M&T Bank Stadium

The Chiefs started off extremely slow last week. They had to go to OT against Justin Herbert in his first career game. If the Chiefs want any chance to win, that CANNOT happen again. However, you never know when you have Patrick Mahomes. Regardless, the Ravens are the most complete team in football. Their run game, pass game, defense, and Lamar simply look too unstoppable right now. This will be an exciting game to watch no matter who you are rooting for, as I predict the Ravens to pull through for what should be one of the best games of the season.
