The Carolina Panthers have extended RB Christian McCaffrey to a 4 year, $64 million deal.
This contract makes McCaffrey the highest paid RB in NFL history, and it is well deserved.
After his extension, he said, “To Panthers fans, KEEP POUNDING.”
The young star-studded RB has broken numerous records in just 3 seasons. He became just the 3rd player ever last year to have a 1,000-1,000 yard season (over 1000 rushing yards and over 1000 receiving yards). He had 1,387 rushing yards with 15 touchdowns, and 1,005 receiving yards with 4 touchdowns. He also had 116 receptions.
He is a 2x All-Pro in 3 seasons, and held 2 spots on the First Team All-Pro this past season (RB and Flex)
Christian McCaffrey is a vital piece for the Carolina Panthers offense, and is one of the best players in the league, and arguably the top back in the league.
CMC was very high in the rankings for Offensive Player of the Year during the 2019 season, but Micheal Thomas barely beat him out for the award.
Overall, CMC has proven to be a top 3 Running Back in just 3 seasons, and has a All-Pro future ahead of him. Carolina has locked down one of the best offensive players in the game and a building block for the Panthers future.
Christian is also a great player off the field. Due to COVID-19, McCaffrey started his program called “22 and You”, in order to raise needed funds for healthcare heros.
